Join Dr. Jim and Mary Jayne Gamble on May 14, 2010 at the Inn at Millrace Pond for an interactive and cutting edge seminar on the topic of Active Learning.
Learn how to implement instructional strategies that incorporate the seven elements of active learning. Seminar participants will gain knowledge and skills that will enable them to enhance their teaching and immediately utilize a variety of active learning techniques that are designed to meet the needs of our unique and diverse learners.
In addition to the multiple instructional strategies, participants will learn user friendly ways to effectively integrate Web 2.0 technologies (bogs, wikis, podcasts, etc.) and hook their students in all of the content areas. The power of ongoing formative assessment is blended into all of the instructional approaches for the purpose of providing the necessary feedback that will equate to student success!
Dr. Jim draws on his 40 plus years of experience in education and research to deliver a program that can dramatically enhance teaching practices in the elementary through high school classrooms. Mary Jayne adds her expertise in the area of early childhood education and her years of experience as a master teacher and early childhood intervention specialist. In other words...
